"10 Seconds" by Ben Roberts is a 3-part Cross-Media production.

Its narrative covers 3 different types of media which are all experienced in different ways. Part one is a film in which the viewer sees footage captured by the main character’s camera. This is being shown in the SD Room throughout the Degree Show week (7pm on Friday). The film is also viewable here on the website. The events unfold in short 10 second clips, but many events remain a mystery. This is where part two begins.

After watching the film, viewers can log onto the website here, which contains a police database with lots of information about characters and events from the film, and those after it. It also contains evidence from the case which you can examine.

After visiting the website, you can experience the mediascape. You will become an active part of the story itself, playing the character of a new police officer who is investigating the events of the film. Using a hand-held computer with satellite navigation technology, you can visit the real setting of the film in Bristol and attempt to uncover the full story of “10 Seconds” – but all is not as it seems...
